ok, so this is going to sound vain, and trivial, but i have to say: i did not DNF at the Sunset Road Race, as reported in cyclingnews. I was 42nd. not that this is a stellar result, and yes, i was 7 minutes down, but damnit, i finished that death-march of a race! and it was my first ever Redlands so even if i did finish 1, 567,365th 36th in GC, i want a little credit! plus, the team did great, with nascar taking 7th and chrissy in 10th, so i am proud of the girls. and i don’t want some made up DNF tainting that for me. ok, so, there. i’m done ranting.

I ran into Gary Fisher yesterday in Fairfax. Not literally, but after i passed him and realized who it was, i turned around and rode up and introduced myself. He was out with his kids, Miles and Aero, enjoying the nice weather.

we got roasted last night for never updating our blog. to me, it can be all too like homework, so my posts can be dry, and scott likes to post things like “i saw a wild turkey today”. so really – who’s the real winner here? you guys aren’t missing much. we are living, breathing, starting the season, much like most of you.
except we did win the berkelet ttt.
